Greenville Technical College is committed to providing a world-class affordable education to students. The purpose of this policy is to clarify late withdrawal guidelines for students who experience a medical or hardship circumstance in a given semester.
A student seeking a 年底撤军, due to a medical or hardship circumstance, may request a complete withdrawal for the current or the previous semester. Medical-related issues require documentation from a health care professional and other supporting documentation and a hardship-related issue requires documentation to be adequately provided by an insurance company, 警方报告, or the company employing 学生. Other documentation may be considered at the discretion of the appropriate college administrator. The student will be considered enrolled in the courses pending the final decision.
Any evidence of fraudulence or misrepresentation of circumstances in this process/application will result in automatic recommendation for denial and the information will be turned over to the Dean of 学生s for appropriate action within the guidelines of the 学生的代码 发表于 学生手册 and Catalog.
**A student who wishes to withdraw from courses as a result of being called to active duty, 专业的培训, or disaster relief efforts must provide a copy of his/her orders. For more details please refer to the 学生手册 and Catalog.
学生s with chronic disabling conditions are encouraged to register with the Office of 学生 Disabilities 服务 within two weeks of being admitted to the college.
学生s who are pregnant or on maternity leave should contact the 第九条 Coordinator within two weeks of being admitted to the college or within two weeks of a status change.
A 年底撤军 request may be initiated 只有 after the last day to withdraw for the pertinent class(es) has occurred. The student may not have participated in the final exam. If the course(s) have been completed and a grade has been assigned, the earned grade will stand.
A student initiating a 年底撤军 request should understand that failing or performing poorly in a class, and/or dissatisfaction with the subject matter, class, or the instructor are not acceptable, serious and compelling reasons for consideration as a Hardship Withdrawal.
Documentation pertinent to the situation/incident MUST be provided. Requests will not be processed if complete documentation is not provided.
The 年底撤军 process involves the Office of 学生s Records, 学生, 老师(s), 退出委员会, and the Academic Dean and/or Vice President.
The student is required to complete the Appeal for 年底撤军 Request Form and provide adequate documentation as outlined in the 年底撤军 学生 Guidelines Packet.
老师(s), 退出委员会, 教务长, and/or the Vice President will review and process 学生’s request in a timely manner; the 年底撤军 process normally requires fifteen working days.
学生记录 updates 学生’s records appropriate for the decision and notifies 学生 of the final decision.
Failure to comply with/follow this policy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
